7 years from the date of the first delinquency (dofd). It means that the 7 years starts from the date of the first payment that you missed that led to the charge off. Keep in mind that the credit bureaus will do "early exclusions". Transunion will typically remove accounts 6 months prior to 7 years upon request, Equifax and Experian sometimes 2-3 months prior to the 7 years upon request.
