Anything that is over 7 years should be removed from your credit?
If you have a late payment showing that is over 7 years and the loan has been paid off on time shouldn't be removed from your account?

It does drop off after 7 years.  Just give enough time for the information to get from the loan servicer to the credit bureau and for them to get the info entered.  Patience is a key here.

One 38 year old late payment still on!

Guess 7 year idea is not happening here, I had a Citi Shell card in 1978--It still shows on my report. No debt there just that one late payment note on report. Isn't that supposed to drop off after 7 years? If not, what exactly drops off in 7 years? I closed that Shell accout a gazillion years ago...
