Sure, that is counted as income. Read reviews on cards that interest you to see if you feel you have a chance of being approved. Many credit card lenders have a preapproval link on their sites that you can use to get an idea if you could be approved (done without a Hard Inquiry). Capital One seems to be one of the most flexible and lenient lenders out there in the credit card business, so you may want to check into them.
