Amex vs Discover
Amex gives me a fico score of 650, up from 627 last month. Discover gives a fico score of 667. This is a difference of 17 pts. CK states my CS for both TU and EQ are 685. Why the difference in fico scores? I understand the difference between fico and credit score but shouldn't fico scores be the same?

AmEx provide their cardholders Experian FICO8, Discover provide their cardholders TransUnion FICO8. However started last month, Discover also providing free Experian FICO8 to anyone whom sign up and having their card isn't a requirement.

No, even it's from same bureau, your "FICO" scores might not be exactly same, there are few different versions of FICO, FICO 4/8/9 and very old NextGen(98), FICO 2//4/5 for mortgage scores, FICO 4/8/9 themselves also have Bankcard scores and Auto scores, they go upto 900, for example, Citibank provid their cardholders Equifax FICO 8 Bankcard score. There are lot more FICO scoring models available to lenders.

Yes they should. However question here was, which versions of Discover did you get, is it from the monthly statements/cardholders (TransUnion FICO 8) or from its new Credit Wise for non members (Experian FICO 8). AmEx and Discover don't usualy pull your score on the same day either, tho less likely it would be that much of difference with-in the same month, but it's possible.

Based on different reports

Just because it is FICO doesn't mean it's from the same reporting agencies. Amex might be using Equifax FICO while Discover uses TU FICO. Depends on your region, which influences which report they pull.
