Start error correction.

Helpful to 8 out of 10 people

First, the info on this site is obtained from TransUnion, which is a well used credit reporting agency.  If there are errors here, there could be on the other two bureaus.  So, go to annualcreditreport.com and get all 3 credit reports.  Look them over very carefully and file disputes on all errors with the credit bureau reporting them.  They are supposed to investigate and either verify or delete the errors.

From this point forward, make it your practice to get copies of your credit reports once a year to make sure all entries are correct.  It is up to each of us to take care of this for ourselves.
