Accounts in Collections showing 0% Balance Paid
When my daughter was born almost 4 years ago I totally destroyed my credit. I've almost paid off all of my past creditors but I am confused about the % of balance paid feature shown on my credit karma account. Two of my credit cards went to collections way back in the day; Being the irresponsible 20 year old that I was I didn't do anything about it for many years to come. After some time I finally worked my way up the career ladder and was able to start paying off the accounts in collections. Two of the accounts on my credit karma account show the "closed" status and both show 0% of the balance paid. Yes, the accounts are definitely closed but the collectors have been paid off in full. Is this normal for accounts that have gone to collections? What are the next steps I should be taking? Any insight is appreciated.
