Account Age vs. Average Age of Credit History
Credit Karma is calculating average "Account Age" and "Average Age of Credit History" differently and I am a little confused as to the difference. When I first log in or click the Credit Karma link to get to the initial page and scroll down it shows "Average Age of Credit History" at 8 years for both Equifax and TransUnion and Rating shows Excellent. However, when I click the "View Age of Credit History" link, it says TransUnion: 6 Yrs 5 Mos and Equifax: 5 Yrs 10 Mos and the ratings both show Fair. Which one is used? Are they really different?
