What do you mean by a case? Do you mean that they are taking you to court? If so, has the "statute of limitations" expired on the debt? Even if it is, you still need to go to court and use the "sol" as your defense. If the debt is not yours you still need to go to court to present your side of the case, if you don't you will automatically LOSE the case. If you want further advice you will need to be a little clearer about what you want to know and some details on your situation.
