Contact the credit card company, tell them you've lost the card and want a new number.  They'll send you a replacement card.  Use it once or twice a year to show occasional use and payments.  this is what lenders look for.  that you use credit and pay for your debts.  Thats what lenders look for.  If you don't use it they have nothing to base your score on so your scores tend to fall because your history is weak.

good luck

Is it still reporting on your CR?

If the account is still be open it is reporting on your Credit Report.  If it isn't there then the account has probably been closed.

In general its not a good idea to close accounts if there are no associated fee's to keep it open.  Closing them lowers your "Available Credit" and you raise your "Utilization".  Use it once or twice a year and pay it off when the bill comes in to avoid interest.  I rotate through my cards using a card for a single charge, then it goes to the back of the stack so to speak.  Don't carry store cards unless you're planning a shopping trip to resist over using them. Use better rewards cards for everyday purchases like groceries and gas and pay off those cards of full each month to get the full benifits of the rewards programs.  Thats good management,  thats what gets you good scores.
