629 Current, Need to get above 700.
My credit score was ruined after a motorcycle accident that left me hospitalized for a year and lead to a repossession of my vehicle. Medical bills piled on top of each other, but the accident was the other person's fault yet I'm still held liable for the bills since he was an illegal immigrant and got deported. I'm just now trying to repair my credit. In the past 5 months I have started financing a new car, got a secured card w/ 200 limit, and an unsecured card w/ 300 limit. Both with horrible interest, but they build my credit nonetheless. I have not missed any payments and keep both card balances at $0-10.00 I have never had a credit card until now, so my credit history is showing as very poor. I would like to know if there's anything else I can do to build my credit faster? Should I just keep applying for cards I know that I'll get approved for? Or is it possible to increase my current credit limits? Any advice helps!
