403-B loan vs. home equity loan to prep house for sale
I need to sell my home to decrease expenses so I can have a surgical procedure. I need a short term loan (approx. $10,000) to finance home repairs, and pay off a high interest credit card. Would it be better to borrow from my 403-B retirement account, or obtain a home equity loan? I plan on paying the loan off with proceeds from my home sale.

Do a  home equity loan so you do not lose the interest accumulation on the retirement fund.  It is never wise to borrow from a retirement fund.
