2 Credit cards with high balance or 5 credit cards with smaller balances, Does it matter?
I have 2 cards with a near maxed out balance and 3 other cards with a 0 balance. The other cards are offering me some low balance transfer rates and fees. That aside, will spreading those balances out across say 5 cards instead of 2 help my score at all? Or will it drop because now 5 cards are active instead of just 2? Or are credit balances vs available balances looked at in aggregate so it won't have any effect? Thanks.
