why can you do legally to have a credit card and negative impact information removed from your credit report, on a card that you were added to without your knowledge or permission?
i recently noticed this new credit card on my account, and when placing an inquiry, found out I was added as an authorized user.
I confronted the person who took this action and then went to the bank to be removed from this account. After I was removed, it negatively affected my score by droping it 58 points.
Are there no legal or report of criminal actions that can be taken to have this wiped off my report?
wnealfjr's response was:
I was added as an authorized user on a credit card account without my knowledge or consent.
The credit card showed up on my credit karma report and that is how I found out about it.
I went to the bank with the actual acount holder and person who opened this account and aded me and had myself removed.
The actions just showed up on my credit reoprt "negatively" as a closed credit card account and dropped my score 58 points.
Prior to this account my score was fine and needed no help in the score, so all this person did was ruin my credit score and now I have a remark on my report that will remain for some seven years.
