How to dispute an error on your credit report

Hey, that's it..... Just write the Credit companies complaining that you have no prior knowledge of applying for such account... Then ask them to provide proof that you authorized such transaction.... The creditors have 30 days to come up with proof.... Like a signature, if not they must remove it off your credit file. Make sure you dispute it with the credit bureaus, not the Company Reporting such allegations....

2 ways you can remove it.  1. Write a letter(s) to the credit bureau(s) reporting it asking that this item be removed as it is not yours.  2. Do an online dispute to the credit bureau(s) saying that the item is not yours....

Well, you can give them your info, but make sure it is you that authorize a charge each month. They can't make you do it, that's just their way of trying to get you to pay your debt.....  You can send a payment by any form and they must accept it.  Good luck!!!!

Derrogatory items will stay on your credit report for a maximum of 7 years from the date it is delinquent. 10 years for judgements and Bankruptcies. You may be refering to the "Statutes Of Limitations" (which vary from state to state) meaning that a debt collector cannot legally take you to court after a certain number of years have gone by to collect a debt. This does not exclude you from you owing the debt though. Good luck my friend.....

It's some type of Collection company. (Collection Service Bureau). Write dispute letter(s) to the credit bureau(s) that they are reporting to thay you are unaware of such debt and you believe it is not yours. This will see if this is a legit collection attempt. If not by law they must remove it within 30 days of receiving the dispute letter. If you are unable to contact them then perhaps the Credit Bureaus will be unable to do the same and remove the negative item from your credit file. Good luck.

Try writing a letter to your credit bureau(s) <`~~~the ones reporting the debt}  Challenge the validity of the debt. Sometimes businesses that tank get rid of old records. If the bureau(s) can't get in contact with your creditor, they must remove the negative item.
