How to dispute an error on your credit report

Hey, that's it..... Just write the Credit companies complaining that you have no prior knowledge of applying for such account... Then ask them to provide proof that you authorized such transaction.... The creditors have 30 days to come up with proof.... Like a signature, if not they must remove it off your credit file. Make sure you dispute it with the credit bureaus, not the Company Reporting such allegations....

Yes, ask or negotiate a pay for delete agreement. This will remove any traces of there ever being a collections on your credit file. Legally they dont have to remove it but its worth a shot, some creditors do and some don't. Good luck my friend.

I filed for bankruptcy back in 2008, when will I be able to get a mortgage & with whom?

I think it should be 1 or 2 years after you filed. Make sure you have a nice down payment saved up. 3% of the Loan value for an FHA and about 10% for a conventional mortgage. Your score should be around 630 to qualify. I know because I bought my house while I was still in my bk. Also your lawyer should have a list of companies that are willing to give you a fresh start. Good luck. Let me know if you need any futher info.. I could share if I know....

I really don't understand what you are asking??? Sounds like you are saying would you be able to get a loan with a score of 574???? If so yes you could; but it will be a high interest loan and you will probably have to go to one of those buy here pay here type dealers. Do some research first. Try to find a good reliable and fairly cheap car well under your budget. Pull your credit and see if you have any negative items on it. Save up a good down payment before you decide to buy. You should prepare 6 months in advance to make a sound purchase. Good luck.........

Also; the ones that you know are legit; you can write a letter to the creditors asking if they will remove them. Be kind and they may give you what you want... Just explain that you a simply trying to improve your credit.
