About Me: Started living on my own at 16. Was made a ward of the State at 14. Earned GED at 15. Moved to major University and although was not an enrolled student, I attended classes and educated myself while also supporting myself financially. Was tough. Hit some bad patches but am over 45 now and wish there was online school when I was young. Didn't care about credit at all. Rebellious about it all actually. Worked my way from a secured credit card to almost 20 accounts, car loan with great interest rate, and savings put up.to.survive at least 6 months in case of job loss. Just read everything I could. Credit Karma was a huge help in how this world of credit works and it makes me feel good when I can pay it forward to help others understand the basics. I am not a financial wizard and I don't like money or greed but I appreciate what good credit can do for you to.make your life easier if you need it. I live by the simple rule of never go in over 30% of your limits and always making larger payments over the minimum. I.also did it for the rewards offers and advise to do your homework big time because some are great but others were designed specifically for you to get confused and lose your money. I am in the process of paying off all zero.intro APR cards and then get rid of the scammer cards. My score doesn't matter. My ability to make my payments on time and diversity is what creditors look at. Good luck. You can do it!
