Follow the rules of credit building and this one will change your life. Love the app, and how I can make it work for me. I got approved with a 570TU, 559EX with a $300 cl. I've been seriously disciplined with my use of it, and I always pay the entire balance early. In the 5 months since I've had it, my score has went up 112 points via FICO records. I havent bothered to ask for an increase like some of the reviewers, but I'm guessing I'll get an auto bump in the coming months. Atay disciplined and this card can work for you.

No Cash Rewards Visa reviews??

Fine, I'll put my own then. I applied for, and was instantly approved for $1,000. My scores are all mid 600's, and I had a Bankruptcy discharged in 2016. Literally just starting to rebuild. I've been an NFCU member for 20 years, but NEVER used NFCU for any reason other than to just have a second account open just in case. After 2 full years of my BK7 being discharged and some serious hard work in rebuilding a damaged credit score, I didnt agree with the initial $1,000 limit given my debt to income ratio (very low debt, very nice income $140k/yr),. So i sent them a message asking for a reconsideration and stated my case. They stood their ground and said $1k was all I could be approved for. I shot back asking if I decided not to activate my card, would it hurt my account. Wait about 3 hours and the reply comes back that I was approved for a $15,000 limit instead, and they apologozed for any inconvienience.

I know my credit history is checkered, but I've worked very hard to put it behind me and make the most out of the second chance. It was a confidence builder to know that NFCU had my back. I had to nudge them a little, but at least for once a human being reviewed my case and did what they thought was right. You cant put a price on that.

Cant describe it if I didnt get approved

Dont buy in to the reviews on here about what scores people got approved with too much. My score history has been a roller coaster over the years (divorce, career change, etc), but I've leveled out over the years, and don't have anything derogatory on any of the three main CRA's. I only hold one card (cap1 QS1), and it's been in excellent standing in the year I've had it. Only credit I've added in 2 years, and available credit at 92%. CS is currently at 678TU, 675EX. Got immediately declined. It happens. Maybe I'll get a different result next year.

Very low initial CL, expected more

$500 cl with a 680 tu, 672 ex, and excellent history with a QS1 card? At this rate, i should get a $1000 CL in 3 years. Expected more Cap1, and not just in CL. Rewarding loyalty used to mean something. Oh well, hello Chase Sapphire and the $10,000 initial CL!

How long have you had the card before it was upgraded? How has your limited changed from approval to upgrade? Thank you, and congrats!
