I have had this card for over 10 years, it is fantastic, I pay my bill off, and I have received a lots of cash back. Since I got this card, I charge every thing. The only thing I wish that we could pick what we get with the extra 5% back on, some of the specials, I don't shop at. Also they always call me if a charge is being made some where that I am not, that I like.

Chase Approval, Credit Karma Incorect

Pre-approved for Slate and Freedom via Chase website. Applied for Freedom, and approved for $4500 limit. Credit Karma has my score at 593, which is obviously erroneous. Credit Karma also hasn't changed my score in over 6 months, even though various things have changed in that period. Strange thing is it is also extremely different from the Transunion fako, which I paid for, and the fico. Credit Karma keeps advertising Capital One Platinum, and secured cards...

Prescreened offer came after I had just recently gotten the BOFA cash rewards card and the Chase Slate card. Was instantly approved for a 2200 limit with a ck score of 691. When I applied, they said I could call to discuss a different credit limit. For the sake of credit utilization, I called to "discuss" a higher credit utilization and the rep was rude and condescending. I like my card. I use it for everything because of the cash back reward. But its no secret that Chase isnt know to be great at customer service..

One of my favorite cards!! Helpful to 5 out of 5 people

Freedom is one of my everyday cards.  Great rotating rewards, great credit limits, and great customer service.  Was instantly approved for 2,500 my biggest limit at the time.  My Fico was 659 at the time.  Now I have Amex Gold Premium and Amex Blue.  Besides those two, Freedom is my favorite.  Was sent an invitation for Sapphire, decided to give it a shot, was instantly approved for $5,000.  They allowed me to transfer the limit to the Freedom and I now have a $7,500.  Great card, if you think you can get it, GET IT.

This is the most hassle-free card I can imagine having. Credit score of 750+, never carry a balance, and if I make a big near-credit-limit purchase during the month, I just instantly wire that amount to Chase (to keep credit usage down). Not sure if I even need to do that, but I like to keep my debt-to-credit ratio low. If you're responsible and don't use your credit cards for carrying a balance, this is a great headache-free card with great customer service when it comes to unauthorized charges.
