Are you applying for new credit and getting inquiries? Did you pay off an old loan a while ago? You lose the benefit of that loan over time. Lastly, is it possible that someone is using your identity? This is least likely but should be considered.

ninajoi,
i wouldn't recommend going wild with a card unless you know that as much as you put on it you are able to pay off immediately, which is what you should do. if you decide to do this don't go to the limit, just a hundred or two to stimulate the card use and then go home and pay off the bill online or however you choose. This shows that you can use and repay quickly. don't go overboard or leave a balance but even if you have 5 dollars on there pay it all off because the more available credit you have the better. If you open a new card, without many inquiries, and use it once or twice for gas and let it sit there empty, your score will go up.
always remember, leave oldest accounts open and in good standing to receive the best results.

You may need to build the credit to receive positive remark on you. If you pay 100% all the time you're not building credit. If you carry a balance for a few months you will build a credit line. They want want you to pay interest to create the credit.
