Removal of State of Clifornia tax lien once paid to prevent derogatory credit listin for 7 years.

Good question?

Once a lien is paid off that the IRS or state of California put on account how do you get it removed? In California the city of Los Angeles puts a lien on you if something isn't paid within 4 months. This has happened twice to me and because of derogatory report my rating is very low . So how do we remove them
