I requested a credit increase on one of my credit cards and was denied. Why?

If your credit score is good, most likely you don't have the income to support a higher line.

Thanks! My credit score is good. Do you think if I lower my line of credit on other credit cards, I will be able to increase it or does it not work like that?

 or maybe there is something in your report that your not aware of? like maybe a old collection that has not dropped off yet? most of my cc have lower the apr and raised the limit on them also,my apr range from 9.24 to 11.99 which inclue discover mastercard and chase.
