only $2,500 credit allowance, how do i increase my credit?
Good question? Vote for this

I have a credit card with a co-signer with 2,000 worth of credit, and when i asked for a credit increase last year, i was denied..even having the card open for a year Besides that i have a store card with a $500 limit, which i have not used for a year (as i have been overseas) and a school loan. I have paid all bills on time, I am getting married soon and my soon to be husband's credit is way better than mine. I don't want to bring him down with me. How do i bring my credit amount up? Any help is appreciated

apply for a few need cards would help....just remember to do it all within 2 weeks....and keep your utilization below 20%....and apply for cards that are 50-100 points lower score required then your current score so you have easier chance of approval....I would suggest capital one varying cards for every credit score and excellent customer service.....

Sorry but, Capital One is a bad idea for anyone with average to below average credit. They surf the bureaus each month and if you go over the limit in one place you will see a jump in interest. I learned about them the hard way a few years back. Best bet is to go to Credit Unions. They give the best rates, and are much much easier to deal with regularly.

I would suggest that if you have had any late pays, or any sort of issues where you are not being smart with your card, you will have an issue where utilization over 50% will really hurt your chances. My biggest suggestion, stop using credit cards. It is a very bad habbit unless you are able to immediately pay it back on your next pay period and still have cash to live on, it is not a safe bet.
