My credit score is 617. There are different ratings on Credit Karma as to my credit status.
Good question? Vote for this

The main page considers this score of 617 to be poor but when I go to the credit cards section they consider poor credit to be 549 or below. Is this a ploy to get those with lower scores (550-625 range) to feel confident in getting a card? I completely understand this idea but should I ultimately consider my score to be poor or fair?

617 is getting close to a fair score.  For example most banks require a 640 score to apply for a FHA home loan.  Read all you can under credit scores this site for advice.  Good Luck.

Exactly!  CK is FAKO, Toyota pulled FICO.  FICO is the one lenders use.
