Yes you should. The 1st time that I applied for a car loan, I had just started my first post college job that month and had no credit history. I applied for a car loan at 3 banks. 2 turned me down but the 3rd granted me the loan. When I had their check in hand, I asked why they gave me the loan while 2 other banks turned me down. Their answer was, I don't know, everything looks good to us.

Make sure you apply for the right card. If you apply for too many cards, you may look desperate.
