Identity Theft. How do I fix my credit that I didn't ruin myself?
Good question? Vote for this

I have been denied for two or three loans here over the last 2 years. I believed for some time that it was because I had no credit at all. I recently went to a payday loan store that claimed to accept applications with no credit history. I was denied. Curious, I requested a copy of my credit report and there are MANY things on there that have no relation to me, such as a credit card balance that was unpaid 3 months ago and I have never owned a credit card in my life. There were even addresses on my report that I haven't even visited, let alone lived at. What steps should I take in resolving this matter.

Contact any banks on the list, those being anywhere you had nothing to do with. Report it immediately. Change any existing passwords, information that you can control. Check control of your current accounts as well.

Hopefully it can be straightened out. But you need to contact those lenders and report fraud and pray they can clear it

You need to dispute all of those negative tradelines with the big 3. trans union, equifax, experian ASAP!!! Do not do it online...dispute them via snail mail, so they cant play the lost game with you. When you get the credit reports from all three you need to dispute all negative inaccurate information with them and I cant stress this enough send the disputes certified return receipt Also you can put a fraud alert for free with all three bureaus. This will stop the individual/s from continuing to abuse your credit. Another thing you need to do is go to the police and file a complaint. This will help you in getting the credit bureaus to remove all those fraudulent accounts. Even though you know that they are not your accounts you still have to prove it to the big 3.

I have one Adverse Account, but I have three Account Review Inquiries, two of which are banks and one is an insurance company. It says Permissible Purpose: Insurance Underwriting. Should I demand applications, statements, and other things? **** I'm almost outta printer paper. I've been working all day. I have whitepages on the addresses and phone numbers they used so I have names now. Matter of fact, I have six names, but they all tie in together through one city and connected addresses and phone numbers. I don't know if it was mutual partnership or monetary exchange or they're trying to figure out whats going on too.
