The extra ones were either consolidated or I just don't use them any more. How do I get rid of them on my credit.

Does the site list 13 credit cards or 13 total accounts? Closed accounts can still reflect on your report therefore that is why they are showing up. You can pull your full credit report at www.annualcreditreport.com and review all accounts, there is no cost for pulling from this site.

Your past accounts that had remained in good standing throughout their life may remain on your credit report indefinitely. The key is, are they open accounts, or just included in your total accounts. (Bad accounts that are closed remain for 7 years.)
Verify that the number of accounts to which you are referring is for open accounts, not all accounts. And, compare your available credit shown with your known open accounts.
If there is a discrepancy (such as still showing older accounts as being open), you will need to pull your free credit report(s) from annualcreditreport.com and do what you need to in order to correct the bad information.
Keep in mind that the incorrect information can actually be boosting your overall score by helping your utilization part of the score.
