my score went from 780 to 770 the only thing that I see on your report is the hard credit check but it does not show the name or why

The higher the score, the more any item may impact it. For an average score, a hard inquiry is likely only to hit it by a couple of points.
But, there are other factors that come into play with the credit score, and it isn't always transparent as to what is happening.
For instance, at one point recently, I took my credit utilization from 20% to 7%, but my score also dropped by 21 points with no other real change that I knew of. You would think that this would help the score go up.
Creditkarma only reports the number of hard inquiries. Did you actually look at your report, or just going off the data here? To see the details as to who, you would need to get a copy of your actual report. If you didn't do anything that would invoke a hard inquiry, you probably want to get a copy of it sooner rather than later to verify no one is trying to steal your identity.

The most I have ever seen a hard inquiry do is 16 points. They can be brutal.
