My score is currently 494. I have several accounts in collections and charged off as a bad debt. I still have 4 to 5 years before the accounts can be removed. Should I try to work with the collection companies? Can you still go to the original debtor if it has been handed over or written off? What can I do to quickly improve my score?

Truthfully, there is no "fast" way to improve your credit. Restoring your good credit will take time; you didn't ruin it overnight, and, unfortunately, it won't improve overnight.

Is it possible to improve my score 75 to 100 points in 6 months? I am trying to move closer to my job but with 2 little girls I really do not want to move back into an apartment.
