how long should a bad account remain on my credit report?
i filed bankruptcy over 12 years ago and one of the accounts is still on my credit report, why?

you need to contact the account company and see why its still on your report, it should have been closed when you did bankruptcy 12 yrs ago. and of course you can dispute that information on your report.
