My situation is my credit score is 656. I just got a third credit card which is a secured card. I've got two other cards recently also. One in September 2011 and the other one December 2011. Only once did one go over its utilization rate which was at 31%. I also got a student loan which I've never been late on. Now here is where it gets tricky. I have two collections on my account from a medical bill my aunt decided to pay off but 2 bills were never paid. The thing is those collections were from 3 years ago. Does it seem likely I can make it to that 720 quickly or is it going to take some time?

The best route would be to take care of the collections accounts. Search for "Pay for Deletion" agreement.. It might cost you some money but it will be the fastes way to boost your credit.
