I recently moved and today I found in the mail box of my previous residence (where I lived for only 6 months) I some Capital One pre-approved offer.
I am scared they will keep coming and might get tossed in the trash and finish in teh wrong hands.
I do not want to be paranoid by identity theft does happen.
How can I remove that address from my credit report, I guess that's where they are getting it in the first place.
Thanks for the help.

If you're concerned about getting those pre-screened offers, you may wish to opt out of them. The phone number is printed on each of those offers you receive, or go to www.optoutprescreen.com
Your bureaus get their information from their subscriber, so you may wish to look at a copy of your credit file (for free at annualcreditreport.com, don't pay for it if you don't have too!) and make sure all the accounts that are open on there have your current info. Many times it's an old account that you forgot you had reporting the info, confusing the bureaus as to what you're current address is.
You can also place an initial fraud alert on your credit bureaus free of charge. That will ensure lenders take extra measures before approving accounts in your name. It only lasts 90 days, but that way you'll be safe(r) from anyone using an application that went to the wrong spot. And after a few months, your bureaus will hopefully have settled on reporting your current address.
