I have Poor credit, but desperately need a vehicle. I have nothing to trade in and no money to put down. Whats the best place to try to get a car loan? The dealership says I have to put money down, but I do not have any. I do not know what to do. I have to be able to get to work.

Check for bus's in your area, relatives or friends for a ride and or check at work for someone that lives close or drives by where you live. Once you build your credit to around 650 you can check out some credit unions for a loan where you will need about a 10% down payment in most cases. To build credit when you can, get a secured credit card ( Orchard Bank or Capital one ). When you get the card keep the balance below 40% of the limit at all times. Read all you can under credit scores on this site. Good Luck.

Also, ae you 100 percent sure that buying a vehicle from a dealer right now is your only option? Is there any bus service or other mass transit where you live and work? Is any sort of rideshare possible? Do you have a relative who might give you a vehicle or sell you one on a payment plan that didn't require money down?
