I purchased a computer from Dell in 2003. It was not what I ordered and was not compatible with my printer which they said it would. Had trouble with the computer from day one. repeated calls to Dell. Was paying on time until they would not address my issues. Had a housefire in 2006,lost my some of my records. Did not receive their rebates. Balance was $760.38.now it is $1500.00. Issues never resolved.

I think you have to file a dispute with the credit reporting agence (i.e. Experian, Equifax, Transunion). If I'm not mistaken (someone correct me if I'm wrong), you have to file a dispute with each company if the item in dispute shows up on all 3 reports.
