Capitol One CC - what to do ??
I have been trying to rebuild my credit after a BK. I am currently at 583. Things are slow going but improving. I took advantage of the Orchard card and keep my usage down and pay on time and in full. Recently I have been getting offers from Capitol One (pre-screened) saying "we know you have done well after BK, apply for our card".. Number one is it a good idea to apply for another CC ? Number two, what is the likelihood that with a 583, I would even get the card. Is it a better idea to just continue slow and steady ?

you need credit to establish a score. They usually like you to have 2 or 3 cards. capital one cards are good as long as you dont miss a payment. they use to be pretty decent about slight credit limit increases. I would open it then wait another year or so to open another one or even wait till around 675.

THEY GAVE ME A 500CL WITH THAT SAME SCORE. DONT MISS ANY PAYMENTS. :)
