During this time I was still attending Temple University and mother was paying this loan off each month. My mother had to go to South Carolina to take care of her sick mother and left the bills to my father. My father thought I was paying this loan off and I thought my parents were paying this loan, which resulted in a late payment. Ever since then, the student loan has been paid on time each month. This is seriously affecting my life right now because I can't get approved for an apartment and I can't apply for some jobs. I had no knowledge of this student loan at the time.

Sounds like a legitimate late payment. Try calling the lender. Explain the situation and ask that they remove the delinquencie as a courtesy. That has worked for me in the past.
