Bought a bed & made payments, paid off in 06. My C.C.report lists the loan as an open C.C. ,its not
Good question? Vote for this

I am wondering how to fix this. Do I need to close it like a C.C., or have they made a mistake listing it on my credit report as being a card. Should I call someone else about the mistake? Which option will be best for my credit score?

Don't do anything. It's part of your credit history, and it proves that you can pay back what is lent to you. Closing it will likely drop your score.

when you buy stuff like that the company opens a credit card for the amount of the bed or what ever in your name they dont give you a loan   what is the worst part is it will show as a maxed out credit card on your credit report for the first few months of payments
