do not get financeing threw the car dealership go to your owne bank and see what they will do for you lease vs financeing comes down to how much you drive and if you buy new cars every 2 or so years your payment is on how much you finance 15000 at 6% is just over 300 a month   a large down payment will lower your payments

Almost anything you do in a dealership will cost more. Repairs are ALWAYS outrageously costly. Do not buy any maintenance plans they try to offer. They generally cover very little and lift the loan to a level that cannot be refinanced if you find a bank with a better deal later. Leasing is only a good option when you know you can keep within the mileage allotment in the agreement. At the end of the leasing term there are costs. You need to check the agreement carefully. If you like driving a new car, and not spend too much time at the mechanic leasing may be for you. The least costly option is to buy used, but not too old unless you have skills. Research the car you are considering to buy. Kelly blue book to make sure you are not paying too much and Edmunds.com and other review places for issues with certain years or models. Many times if you google the year make and model of the car much will come up. And as gary above mentioned, deal with your bank and put as much cash down as possible. An endless car loan hanging over you head is never a good thing.
