I hate capital ONe. After applying for them once and received wrong card, One that they charge a fee, they told me to reapply. I did for another card they denied me score is 745.. They suck, they only want people with bad credit and they will never increase card.. I really think people should bycott capital one bank.. I received a credit card from my credit union for $15000.. YES credit unions rule!!!

Good card for people building credit, but it has high interest.

I agree , I think Companies rate different issues differently. I do not have this card, but my husband does, and all I know is they have Excellent customer service! We don't use this card often except for vacations and emergencies but I believe it would be a overall good card to pay regular household bills monthly that you pay every month anyway.

I totally agree with you. They did that to me but I have more credit available like $25000. They seem to look at long term Job more than if you pay you credit cards. Thats the only thing I can think of. I have Very good credit and never late. I just wanted to actually do a balance transfer for BofA because BofA has changed their image and now charging a yearly fee. I just figured I would pay that card off by a transfer for 21months since I really don't use it. I did get a better card thru my Credit union. They had better rate than citi card. Also I heard Citi card changes their rates all the time. I think credit karma is just a suggestion for people. We have to control Our own future by Not spending over 20% of Our credit limit. That will keep your score higher.

I like this card too. Don't use it much though. I do like the fashions.

I would apply for another card with low interest if you have a score over 700 you might get a better deal. It depends on how long you had this card. I assume you had it because your credit score was low. So check out your options before closing this account. On time Credit payments make you score go up, and closing accounts makes it go down.

I agree with you. **** if you do and **** if you don't have credit, bills whatever. Thats why we are so Hooked on credit.. everyone needs it,but card companies keep ripping us off.. because they know how it works. I feel that they shouold be able to look at credit history of more than 5 years back.. I had Great credit... paid all cards off had three cars paid off in 3yrs! Now it doesn't show anything on my reports about that info. I really believe that they want people in debt. We can't have a good score unless we charge and pay.... thats just how it works..

I agree with you. I figured credit karma did you a favor giving you companies that would approve you, but thats not the case. And it dings your score a few everytime. someone has got to profit from this??

Credit karma goes works with thru Transunion, and citi looks thru experian. but with 720 and my credit /debit ratio is very low score is a A, you would think I would get this card. Denied, saying too many retail cards. Funny , I have them for years and have no balance. Maybe I need a balance to show I use them?? Anyway, I read citi is not that great. Good luck toya all!

I was shown this card thru credit Karma with a score of 718 and I read the site it asks for Excellent credit, and NO I didn't fill it out and ding my score. So just a note , read the small print before filling out an app. Good luck. because credit karma is not all that!

Credit karma was alittle high in the scores compared to experian. I noted by 39pts. But it all Good information. Everytime you get your credit pulled for a credit check from a company it knocks plenty of points off , and when your credit cards ratios is not less than 20% it hurts score also. So thats one thing I notice , even if I pay on time, the credit companies could get the information a little later than when i pay off and still shows not paid in full.

It always seems to be lower than your Fico score for some reason. I noticed this too.

Its a game that we all have to play to buy Houses and cars at low interest rates. Crazy as it sounds, this game gets many people into more trouble than worth. Good luck to everyone ouot there. Don't have more than 10% of your credit used on your cards keeps credit rating Good, pay them when due and your credit should be better after a few months. Good luck

Yes they check employment and your bills how much income comapred to how much you have to spend. And applying for credit makes your drecit go down. All you ahve to do is call the credit card comapnaies you been with for awhile and ask for credit increases. Also never have more than 15-20% on your cards, pay them each month shows better credit rating too. Good Luck in the credit card game, which by the way it is a Game. Some people just get sucked to far in and keep falling behind.

yes they say low % rate of 7.90 and they give you a higher one than you really want after they approve you,and after 4 years it still is high with Good credit. Its only a good card for someone trying to get credit at first and than when you get this card after 6 months try for another card that is better, these companies rip off consumers that have not so great credit.

I see the same issue for the credit scores. Seems like trans union is the lowest on mine also. I know you should only be using 20% of your total credit. That makes a differerence. Also I know that the more you apply for credit makes scores go down at least 7 pts if not more. It surely is a stupid game, got to have credit if you don't have the cash to buy big ticket items and than paying off all credit cards and never using them causes credit score to plummet! So it's basically a game , pay cash have no good credit score, pay credit and pay on time and keep it to no more than 20% and scores goes up! It's Our choice.

This is so wrong. they give you a credit score and make you think you can possibly get the card.. Well not! With a credit score over 725! Thats just stupid.. now that they pulled my report I have another hard report.. thanks.
