credit can actually be good if you work it to your advantage. its your own fault that you didnt pay your bills and were irresponsible and not everyone has the means to save up $300,000 cash to buy a house...thats why there is mortgages for people to be able to own a home in time as long as they are responsible. if you want nice things in life you have to have credit unlike you where you put yourself in a hole that you cant get out of.

hardeight you are giving false information. there is no difference and no preapprovals and preselected are guaranteed and no they dont have to approve. you are just more likely to be approved than most people because of "some" information that was seen from your credit report they didnt look at the whole thing only some info

the mutiple inquiries will stay there nothing around that but the ding your score will take will hurt it as if you only applied once and other lenders will see those inquries on your report in such a short period of time and know that you were car shopping and searching the best rate instead of assuming the worst when applying for new credit as if you were credit hungry and trying to overextend yourself

A lot of banks also look for job stability also when they are going to be giving you a loan also plus bank statements showing your monthly expenses including rent and income every month

your credit scores say everything about how well your ability to pay your obligations on time. you should work on paying down all of your debt and open a secured card in your name to build your credit to show lenders you can pay your bills on time and after a year you should be able to get a car loan without a cosigner granted you pay everything on time and boost your score

the OP needs a car to even get the job to get money and it doesnt sound like he/she has any money to put down

yeah your car loan might not be reporting to all the credit bureaus better to check and see

check your local credit unions they always offer the lowest rates and are more lenient than banks to help you get lower rates and save money

i hear discover can be pretty generous as giving you a cli in as little as 3 months otherwise i think they would look at your credit profile every 6 months

because it is a world mastercard does not mean it does not have a no preset spending limit. It just has extra perks and the limit is not reported to the credit bureaus which is also not accounted into your overall credit card utilization. There is a credit limit issued to you when you are approved and receive the card. This is not a charge card which is a no preset spending limit.

i called capital one because i have the classic platinum mastercard with no annual fee in 12/09 and then obtained the student rewards visa in 3/10 and i called in recently after i got my credit steps putting each card at $750. The CSR said due to the new credit card law, there is no way to combine cards now.

cell phone companies dont report your on-time payments so it will not improve your score but if you do not pay your bill they will report it thus lowering your score. Credit cards are the best way to build your credit very easily

piggybacking doesnt help your score anymore for the authorized user unless they are obligated on the credit card agreement to pay basically as a cosigner. They stopped this in 2010.

past delinquencies or too much utilization or too many recent inquiries

Approved with $500 limit, have another card already with Capital One with a $750 limit. Have 8 accounts total including this new card. Pulled Transunion which is the CK score, had 6 inquiries, CK Score of 670. Utilization is 18%. 10 month credit history. This is a pretty decent card overall, never had a problem with Capital One. No annual fee. I would recommend this card to anyone who isnt going to carry a balance or else it will kill you in interest. 23.9% is ridiculous

so were you approved or not?
Review Reply posted 1 year ago
they can pull any of the 3 bureaus randomly when you apply. There is no specific bureau they pull which is the same with any credit card company.
Review Reply posted 1 year ago
well which bureau did they pull? they mightve pulled equifax cuz they can pull any bureau randomly or all 3 if they want. and how many inquiries, history and utilization
Review Reply posted 1 year ago
they will probably report the interrupted Costco membership service and tack on the fee. I mean they can basically do what they want to an extent even if they wanted to tack on an annual fee if you try to pull a fast one.

It says 0% for 12-15 months balance transfer WITH approved credit. Not everyone will be approved for the balance transfer offer for that period of time or even at all. Citi will decide who is creditworthy enough to take advantage of the offer from your credit profile and the bureau they pull. Dont base your credit score off of CreditKarma because it is only from one bureau and any credit card company can pull randomly all 3 or any one at random, not just Transunion which is the one CreditKarma uses. Please read the fine print and don't blame the website who is providing you with a free convenient service of providing you with your TransUnion credit score. You knew what you were getting into before you applied for it.

Depending on how many inquiries you have and how long ago they were. They denied me with similar scores and similar age of credit accounts because I had too many recent inquiries. I don't think in my opinion that Citi Forward is a difficult card to get at all. There is a lot of students who are getting high limits with little or no history so you should not have much difficulty getting it unless you have a lot of recent inquiries.

Denied with a 673 on here which is TransUnion. They pulled Experian and have no clue what score is with them but i know i have more inquiries on there. Their reason for denial was too short of a credit history. Only a year old and I'm a student so I didn't have much time to build my history. The loan operations representative i spoke too told me they are looking for people with at least 2 years of credit history before approving for a Chase card. Just to let everyone know. I also have 6 credit cards which does not make a difference for them even with no balances.

It is not the matter of how much money you have. Credit is the only supporting evidence banks have to be willing to lend out money based on your repayment history. You could be very wealthy and not responsible in paying back your obligations. If you do not have any credit, banks don't know if you will pay it back or not. Also having no experience with credit shows you are not able to handle the responsibility of borrowing money.

Because you are carrying balances and want to transfer them to a lower card does not mean that you are guaranteed approval. Discover probably wont approve you if you are carrying high balances because you are a high credit risk and cannot pay your bill in full.

Also even if they remove it, your score will not go up, it will stay the same.
