I remember there being many more reviews on this card in the past... anyways, Applied bank now offers unsecured cards. Their site also lists an option to upgrade. In talking with their customer service, secured card customers are never eligible to upgrade to an unsecured account regardless of history. In order to do so, you must apply for the secured card. This offers no incentive to me to keep this card now. No interest is nice, the monthly fee is manageable, but no hope for a better card in the future is dismal. Sorry, Applied bank. Your days with me as a customer are numbered.  

Should receive the card this week. Their site says that I was approved for a 320 dollar limit. No complaints thus far.

Approved with  a 600 CK score. Ill update this over time with my opinions.  

 I have a CK score of 600 even. I had a secured visa for 8 months now with ontime payments and I watched my score climb from 543. (still about 5k in debt.) On the 8th month, I got a pre approved notice and was approved for $300. Feels good... Contact with customer service was good and it was easy to understand them (no Jargon). Navigating their phone systems was just as easy. Its going to be hard to give an honest rating until I have more experience with this card and company. So far, we are off to a good start, so I give them a 4. This may change over time.       On a side note, I dont understand why some give this card a poor rating because they were denied credit.  Cant base a bad review soley on the fact they told you no.

I was approved with a CK score of 600. Keep in mind that approvals are based on a lot more than just your FICO score.
