I blocked Trans Union from seeking info om me because they were selling my name to every credit card company they could . Even though I blocked it, our mortgage company was somehow able to get it opened!

Understanding Credit Score Differences

did you all knnow that every time that "Credit karma" checks your credit score, it counts againist you by theem placing a "hard Inquiry on yiur credit ? Think about this the next time Credit Karma sends you an email saying that your credit score has changed. Every week I get one of these emails and I now know why there are consistantly 11-14 inquiries on my credit report all the time and that I am not applying for credit cards Plus the credit rerporting agencies list old, closed accounts as open accounts. I am listed as having 116 accounts or lines of credit. Last week I counted 40 credit cards, most of them being Chase becazuse Chase gobbles up all the banks that are folding. When I asked Chase to take my credit lines into one Mastercard and 1 Visa, they refused. Remiind me not to use Chase.

Understanding Credit Score Differences

leave it alone.....as for the oldest accounts, leave them open and if you have several with the same bank :ie Chase( they gobble up all the now defunct banks) just consolidate them into one or two accounts. My credit report says I have 116 accounts.......this is ludicrous, because I don't have 116 cards and all of the accounts without cards I cancelled.

Understanding Credit Score Differences

My CreditKarma score was 752 on 11/2/2010 and today, 11/19/2010 it went to 746 . My Fico score a month ago was 895 with Equifax. I believe that my score with Equifax more than I believe that creditkarma. Does anyone notice the when you ask for an update on your Fico score, it always goes lower, even if you have no debt.I think that Credit Karma is really people that sit there answering your inquiry by gaining information from each person. I had done an update last month and suddenly I get a call from one of my credit card companies informing me that someone had used my Merrill Bank MasterVard account to make a large purchase in another state.I asked to have the account closed and a new card be sent.Recently I made a large purchase on a credit card I hadn't used for awhile and instantaneously I received a call from the fraud dept to check if I was the one that used the card. I told them yes, I just purchased an oven at  HHGregg for my new home. Pay Pal is on the ball and I would recommend them to anyone.
