Do not partially settle accounts! Making payments against delinquent collections can RESET the statue of limitions on the debt.

Try getting your full credit report from the official site annualcreditreport.gov. It is free once per year and you will probably be able to spot the discrepancy.

of course they will make you pay for it, try to find one without an annual fee because you won't be able to cancel it later without having it hurt your credit.

Good. Up to a point. Credit mix is important. Little charge, little credit card, little fixed loan.

Credit score is depth and quality of credit history...So establish credit, use it responsibly and don't pay late or use too much of what's availible.

It could hurt you temporarily but longer term is for the better.

Eventually (not fast unless you previously weren't)..You could probably do with more accounts or paying down balances significantly.

There are better offers out there but lets be fair ING has an established brand, the customer service is good if not great and they offer much better rates and services than most people's "hometown" or Mega-banks. I haved used multiple services for almost eight years with no real complaints.

AT&T is a dinosaur whose business model is to charge you for stuff you already should be able to do free..by lobbying congress.

This site was good in 06, had increasing defaults in 08 and 09 but came out slightly ahead. Became increasing open to fraud after some favorable press nationwide, MSM exists to kill **** like this (Craigslist anyone?) Then recently outlawed in NJ and other states no doubt by the other, larger, sponsors of this site. Cant have people lending money how will the banks ever recover their losses if they have to compete with people. If this is what politicians means by free-market they can keep it..

This bank will require income verification in hard-copy (which I personally didn't have). While not unfair I think they may have hard-checked my credit report when I initially applied hurting my score >:( So make sure you have income verification before the application is submitted.
