I applied for this card through CK's site. It took me to a pre-approval offer. I did the pre approval offer a few months ago and I was pre-approved for a "secured card," also the pre-approval offer only does a soft check on your credit report. After improving my score, I again applied for the pre-approved offer and this time I was pre-approved for an unsecured card with an annual fee (unlike what was stated in the CK offer which said no annual fee) The card has a very low limit of a few hundred dollars, with an annual fee that's less than a hundred dollars. The application only checked my Experian Report, which had a slightly higher score than my CK Score from TransUnion. My CK score was in the "Fair Range", and above the average score that this page says that is approved for this card. Another CK user friend of mine also applied for this card, who had a score that was very close to the average approved score for this card, and he was pre-approved for a very similar card, but his included an additional "processing fee" in addition to the annual fee. From what I read online, Orchard Bank is very likely to approve you for whatever pre-approved offer you receive, so this is a nice way to apply for a credit card without fear of dropping your score with a hard inquiry. Though if you apply after the pre-approval, it will perform a hard inquiry.
