I tried to post this before but it was censored. AmEx told me that I did not qualify because my credit score was too low. That was the ONLY reason given by the AmEx rep. I was told by AmEx it was using the score from TRANSUNION and it was not the same number that CreditKarma reported to me from the same place...TRANSUNION. Also CreditKarma shows the average score for obtaining the card much lower than my credit score reported by CreditKarma. My point was and still is: Two different scores from the same place. Something is wrong. Also posting the average scores to obtain the card is misleading at best. I now have a hard look at my credit report. I understand that there are many factors that can be used but whem AmEx says credit score was "TOO LOW" as the only reason and CreditKarma says it was 744 well above the average than I wasted my time and damaged my score by misinfo.

Applied three weeks ago. Received email that could never find my app on their site. Called. Denied. Told Transunion credit score too low for card. Creditkarma says they use Transunion for scores. Creditkarma showed 744 when I applied. Shows 744 today. Someone is lying here. Bad system all around both here and at Amex.
