After submitting funds to open my Public Savings VISA and paying for the expedited service I received an email on the 12th day that I was all set up and should receive my card within 4 business days. I received one via Fed Ex two days later and one in the mail on the third day. I have only made a couple of gas purchases so far to make sure the card is working, and it worked fine on those two transactions. I will be using it the card primarily for car rentals on trips out of state, and will report how that worked for me. After being turned down for a secured card with BOA, it was wonderful to get set up as soon as I did with my Public Savings VISA, considering what options (or lack thereof) were available to me under my current situation. My research showed this as my only option other than trains, buses and taxis on trips, and I will be so grateful to just grab a rental car, and the VISA offers free car rental insurance as well.

have people add you on their credit for their mortgages, and personal credit cards. If they default on their loans it will damage your credit, but if you know someone who has almost payed off a mortgage that has been paid off on for 19 years, you immedately get that credit on your account showing you have made on time payments for the past 19 years, etc
