If you are looking for a card with discounts for gas AMEX has one in conjunction with costco that offers 3% back on gas and dining, 2% on travel and 1% on all others with no cap. They also have a 5% discount card on gas, wireless phone service, office supplies for business owners - I have the personal card and love the savings.

5% Cash back on Gas Purchases w/ Discover
I have an amex/costco card that pays back 3% on gas and dining, 2% on travel, 1% on all other purchases with no cap. Even with the 2% difference with the price of gas I will save more using it. They also have a business one that is 5% on gas instead of 3%.

5.01% APY No Fee Checking Account
It would probably be a good deal and I would consider looking into it further - but I live in NC. That's a bit of a drive to open a bank account don't ya think. It would be great if they had the offer open for online applications.
