now I take back anything good i said in my last review. They flat out lied to me and told me not to worry because all the hgurdles would be overcome, just let me do my job bla bla bla. i was assured that I'd get my 495 back if the deal didnt go through.
now they wont return my messages and I doubt I'll get a refund.
WATCH OUT for this company, It's a SCAM!!!

be prepared to lose your $495.
my credit score is 728, I make over 75k a year, my total debt is $90k (most of it in my home mortgage) my house appraised at 135k, and they still rejected my loan.
This is after a month of faxing about 50 pages of documentation, me increasing the insurance coverage on my house, the people at loan depot reassuring me that they would refund my $495 if the loan was rejected.
the reason they rejected my loan was the nature of my job. I work as c contractor for an agency that gets me temporary assignments on technology projects.
I don't think they intentionally screwed me out of the $495, but they definitely convinced me that it was a done deal.
if it had gone through I would have given a 5 star rating, but I'm left with a lot of wasted time and $495 flushed down the toilet.
all of this aggravation would have been avoided if the simple question had been asked: is your job a full time salaried position, or a temporary contract assignment.
they also changed their tune about the $495 refund.
I thought I was careful and thorough at asking the right questions, but obviously not thorough enough.

bank of america has gouged me with so many fees and interest rate hikes. I will NEVER do business with Bank of America again!!!

don't bother. I make plenty of $$ and my credit score is 723.
its probably great for lenders, but credit card companies like Bank of America have me by the balls.
they have screwed me over again and again and now im stuck. even though getting a lower interest rate would help me immeasureably, I cannot get unshackled from BofA
