I have a $3000.00 limit on 3 different credit cards. 100% on time payment history. Oldest tradeline is 11 months. All cards i carry no balance on. i pay them in full each month. utilization between 0 to 5% every month. I had collections in the past but i have paid them all in full and they have all been updated on my credit report. I have a ck score of 658 now how long should it be before i am at a 720. i am looking to buy a home around the $130,000 range. i am trying to get my score to the highest level possible. not just for getting a great rate but to make sure that i can be approved for that amount. i only want to apply once since it will hurt my score. will i have any problems getting qualified when i get a great score? And how long will it take for me to coninue to raise my score?

I have used creditkarma for almost 7 months now and have been using the simulator. To date it has only been off by about 10 points. granted I only had to check the pay all cards off box, and i did add 1 new card. But it has been correct for the most part. I didnt have a score 7 months ago. i have a ck score of 654 now. not the greatest but a complete turn around

I applied over the phone and it took about three weeks for the card to get to the house. You could try to call them or go to their web site and check the status of your account.

Just received card in the mail today. Signed up for online bill pay. $300 limit. With a $74 charge for yearly fee already on it. Paid that. Now all i have to do is sit back and watch my ck score increase. I do believe yearly fee is a little steep along with almost 20% APR. But if its all i can get to start having great credit I will take it.

You can call them and use a debit card. I am under the impression that you have to have a bank account of some kind to sign up.

It should only be a $19 processing fee. And unless you have some very recent negative marks on your report you should be approved. I would call and speak with a rep at Technical Support at 1 (877) 277-0948 6:00am to 5:00pm PT Monday-Friday. They were very informative and nice on the phone. They should be able to give you all the correct info your looking for.

Technical Support at 1 (877) 277-0948 6:00am to 5:00pm PT Monday-Friday. I dont use checks. So I had to call this number and speak to a customer service rep and apply over the phone using my debit card to pay for the $19. I have a ck score mid 500's as well and was approved for $300 limit. I believe that is the going rate for limited credit folks like myself. The rep also told me to call back in 6 to 9 months from the time I active the card and ask for a credit increase with on time payments.

I had to medical bills go to collections a while back. I have since paid them in full and paid my credit cards down to 30% of their limit or less. Will those collections still hurt my score even though they are paid in full.
