Orchard Bank Classic MasterCards

It would be appreciate if the process is given clearly on this website. I have clicked and then it asked me to provide details for pre-screening, which I completed.

Then in the next screen, I have shown offer for their top of the line Unsecured, Platinum Master Card (which is shown here in the logo for this offer). The reason being I have good credit score.
However they have annual fee for ALL of their unsecured credit cards. So if you are approved for a unsecured credit card, this is definitely waste, to pay that annual fee. There are so many cards with no annual fee requirement. Also, They have a range that says $39-$74. I have received as $39.00

And another item about their Variable APR. On their terms and conditions they listed as 14% - 24% variable APR, based on credit worthiness. I do have a good credit score and my credit worthiness is high. However, they showed me 24.9% as variable APR. Then I started wondering, would they give 14% for any one at all ? I doubt it.

Also these Orchard Bank cards are financed by HSBC. Remember, HSBC may be famous in HongKong,Asia and Europe, it doesn't have a stronghold in USA, and they are absolutely against taking risk with american consumers. Unless you play to their tunes perfectly you will get punished very seriously. (Its based on my experience: I have moved my Online Savings from HSBC to GMAC-ALLY Bank)

I wish you Good luck for those applying for Secured Card. Hopefully it will help you build your report.

Yeah I agree with you. And as CK says this article is totally for fun, but I suspect this throws us into some thinking (hence we are wasting time here LOL)

Totally disagreed. I believe more the people become accustomed to latest technologies like new emails, emails systems, online information storing systems, if one is intelligent and smart, they will be better off not to use their name matches in their emails ids. Hence the mismatch of ids could actually do better on credit score. So this basis is totally useless, with all due respect.
