I agree with the AMEX comments. After a decade of carrying and using their card, they still provided terrible customer service. I decided to cancel the card, yet they put in the credit report that account was closed at the request of the creditor.
I have submitted multiple requests to have reflect the truth which is that I requested the account be closed, because I didn't want to deal with their lousy service.
