I had applied 2 times for Citi Platinum Select Card but denied everytime for a credit score of 718 and 706. Last month I got approved for a credit score of 691 with credit limit 4000. I applied through the referral from my friend. The card is good but it's not excellent in terms of rewards. It doesn't give 1% cash back on every purchase rather it gives points.
My suggestion for those who have been denied is apply through referral. It increases your chances a great way with decent credit limit.

TNU 724 EXP 717 EQU 702
Credit History of 8 months
approved for $500
When I called CC, they told me I hav to wait for atleast 6months to get increase limit.
The Customer service is very poor, have insufficient knowledge, lot of dept xfer to get ur concerned query solved.
One surprising fact that I discovered I am given no promo APR of 0%, rather 22.9%

the same thing happened with me. I am a student with $10,000 income.
I wonder when CAP approved my card with $500 limit at the same time BOFA gave me $2000 limit card. I started with $1000 w/o any credit history with Bofa.

rejected once again.
Transunion 728, Experian 722, Equifax 702
7 months credit history, $1000 limit with bofa, was rejected 2 months earlier. The most shocking thing happened to me was I applied through banking representative. She said your card is preapproved with $5000 credit limit. When I checked with customer care a day after, he said the card is rejected. :((

I am a student. I am looking for Amex card with $2000+ credit limit. My score is 729 with no debt, have 4 month credit history with Bofa ($1000 limit). I appreciate your reply.

Got rejected for 729. No debt. No default payment. have credit history for 4 months.
Reasons: o Your credit bureau report shows you have no revolving accounts with a balance.
o The consumer reporting agency serving your area has
reported a limited credit history for you.
My frens got the card with 650-680 score with poor history.
Very disappointed!
